Jan Pratt Memorial Award
INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS
This award is to the value of $1500.
Nominations for the Jan Pratt Memorial Award will be made by Executive Members of NZCPPA.
All principals in their first five years of principalship are eligible for this award.
A ballot will be conducted with all nominations that meet the criteria.
Awards will be presented at NZCPPA Annual Meeting. The money can be used during the year after the award is presented.
The awards will be known as the Jan Pratt Memorial Award ($1500).
The Jan Pratt Memorial Award is to support professional development of new principals. The Award is $1500 (GST inc) to assist a Principal from a Catholic Primary School in their first 5 years of Principalship to support professional development. In the year of the Catholic Education Convention this award is to support attendance at this event.
Nominations for the Jan Pratt Memorial Award will be made by executive members of NZCPPA. A ballot will be conducted with all nominations that meet the criteria. The award will be presented at the NZCPPA Annual Meeting. The money can be used in the following year the award is presented. The Award is open only to Principals of Catholic Primary Schools of Aotearoa/New Zealand who are financial members of their local Catholic Principals’ Association.
Any person can only receive the award once.
A brief written report will be provided to NZCPPA, which will be posted on the NZCPPA Website.
A register of recipients will be maintained. The Awards will be recorded in the AGM Booklet. The NZCPPA decision on allocation of awards is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Catholic principal in first five years of principalship.
Financial member of NZCPPA
INFORMATION REGARDING LEAVE AND SALARY
All aspects of leave on full salary during the period of study are the responsibility of the award holder and his/her board.
